FAQ

Question: What is your experience level?

Chad has been DJing since 1999 and his very first private event was a wedding for a friend in 2004. The guests at that wedding thought he had been DJing for several years, and they were pleasantly surprised to hear it was his first time. Since then Chad has DJ'd at well over 500 Weddings and hundreds of other events from Corporate to Private Celebrations.

Question: What type of equipment do you use?

Gibbs Productions only uses the highest quality industry level of professional equipment. Tried and tested by industry professionals and designed specifically for heavy commercial use.

Question: Are you insured?

We provide the option of event insurance for an additional fee if your venue requires it. We highly recommend that you take advantage of this service. Prices start at around $75 / event.

Question: Do you take requests from our guests?

We do take requests and most of the time can honor quite a few of them. We do occasionally need to “filter” requests. This means if your guests request something inappropriate or explicit for your event or if it was on your "Do Not Play" list than we will not play them. If your guests ask for something that would mix well with the current setlist, then we will make every effort to accommodate them. While we have over 100K songs, we don't always have every song. If wi-fi is available, there is a higher likelihood of us having it.  If someone makes a request that fits in well with what the DJ is playing at the time and with the music the client wants, then the DJ may play the request.

Question: Who will be my DJ?

Chad! That's it. No one else. You will meet with Chad and he will work with you from day 1 all the way to your event. In the event that Chad needs to substitute his services, we will let you know immediately and help transition you to the new DJ. This has never happened in 20 years.

Question: Will you give me a contract?

We do require you to sign a contract which helps protect both you and our company for many issues such as payment terms, dates, setup requirements, etc. We require a 50% deposit at the time of booking and the balance is due 10 days prior to your event.

Question: What is your backup plan?

We always have extra equipment with us at every event. From extra speakers to additional hardware pieces with music stored and ready to switch over should something happen to our gear. This doesn't happen often but when it does we are prepared. Our greatest aspiration is to never have any "dead air" time during our events unless it's intentional.
